I am attempting to get this modem to work with Windows XP. There is
only the one driver and no FAQ on
www.sitecom.com. A serial port modem
on the same computer works just fine connecting to the same ISP.
The modem dials and gets a long annoying tone back, but then just
seems to wait around for a while before disconnecting. I have tried
stepping down the transfer rate, turning off compression, etc. but so
far to no avail.
More disturbing, changing some modem settings in the configuration
dialogue actually reboots the computer!
Any help is appreciated.
