Small Laptop/Higher Rez Screen?

Seems like all the 10" and below laptop screens are 1024 x 600 or
smaller.

I currently have an eee901. The form factor is exactly what I
want for a walking-around PC. Even the 10" would be small
enough.

But the 1024 x 600 screen just isn't getting it for me.

Bottom line: does anybody, anywhere make a 10 or even 12" screen
that does something approximating 1280 x 1024?

Lenovo has a number of 12" models with 1280 x 800 resolution.

I ran into this purely by accident, while looking for something else.

Acer Aspire Timeline AS1810T-8638 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300(1.30GHz) 11.6" 4GB Memory

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834115670

It is 11.6" and resolution is 1366 x 768. It uses a LED backlight.
1366/768 = 1.77 (16:9)

I was at a computer fair recently. Noticed both Sony and HP also have
models with a smallish 1366x768 display. Sony's was 11.1", expensive
and ultralight at 780 grams, HP's was more an upscale netbook-priced
thing an mirroring 11.6" display.

I googled "Vaio 1366x768" and got some interesting hits.

Sounds like they're also offering a 1600x900 screen - and at
least one model's screen is touch-sensitive.
