Soyo chipset fan - noisy?

I'm trying to eliminate as much noise from my PC as possible (while still having it turned
on - for all you pedants that were going to suggest turning it off! .

Is the fan on the northbridge likely to generate much noise...I'm thinking of replacing it
with a larger heatsink but am having difficulty working out if it's worth it.

I've already got a Zalman flower and an enermax PSU - the HD noise doesn't bother me at
the moment.

Try disconnecting the fan and see what difference it makes to the overall
noise. You'll soon know if it's worth replacing.

The fan on my kt400 dragon platinum was very noisy.
I replaced it with a zalman chipset heatsink. now it is much quieter
