I think I killed my motherboard. I tried to install an intel 3.0 ghz processor into my motherboard. My friend had it from an old set up. It was the same socket so I thought to install it myself. I end up building my computer every 2-3 years. I tried to install the cpu and I guess I didn't have the pins lined up correctly and well...bent some pins. I think I did that while locking the heatsink into place... and I think broke my motherboard. So I ebay'd a new motherboard, however I wasn't careful enough looking at the product description, my broken motherboard is "prescott ready", but ebay'd board is a springdale that can have the bios updated to work with prescott processor is what I've come to understand from the research I've done. I didn't realize this until I won the item. So I'm not really sure I understand this right or maybe there's a larger difference in the models. I'll link the soyo models

Oh and it says the maximum compatible processor is 3.2ghz and in other places it says 3.4ghz. I'm wondering if its possible to go with the 3.4 with the ebay'd motherboard.
