John I agree its pretty desolate here and I miss not having anyone to
discuss the board with when problems arise so if you want to keep in touch e
mail me on jimmysmith at btinternet dot com

The handigator is nice but try as I might I cant get the power button to
turn ON the pc..........turning it off is no problem.....let me know if you
can turn it on by remote!

No can do. Did you see Fred's post about the voltage perhaps being too low?

Thanks for the contact info. Right now I'm finding out the drawbacks of
the ENVY24 audio..................can't play the audio on Battlefield
1942. They come out like chipmunks talking!

I noticed the sound crackling and breaking up on Unreal 2

There is an update on chaintechs site but I notice it has the same version
number but the build number is later

BUT.........I am sure someone once told me that if its just the build number
thats changed then there is no update to the driver other than stuff like
text being changed etc

I downloaded it here in the uk at 400bytes a second. It took 5 and a half
hours on a 56k dial up to d/l the 11.9mb file.

Chaintech say its a known issue when I wrote to them and suggested creating
a mirror for Europe on the d/l`s. They say they are trying to fix it!

I will try the new driver "build" and report any improvements!

You also need to turn on WOL in the BIOS. That's what I forgot to do. Now
everything works like a charm.

Cheerio,

Fred
