Four of my friends decided to upgade this weekend and I got the task of
instlling them. They were all Fry's $79.00 specials consisting of ECS K7S5A
Pro MB's & XP 2200 CPU's. All installed without a hitch and are runnning
fine(even the one running on a 235W PS). One of them has Honey X OC bios
installed and is running at 2100mhz(XP 2500) on PC 133 SDRAM. It never
ceases to amaze me what a bargain these MB's are. Sure a lot people complain
about the troubles that they have but I'll bet percentage wise it is no
greater than than anyone else. I will have to get another one for myself
this week because my Soyo board died last week. Now I have a companion for
ny dead Epox board. That now makes now for 1 Asus and 5 ECS K7S5A MB's pro &
non pro that I have running. I don't have a dead ECS board. I am also
ruuning the pro bios on all my non pro boards with no problems. Also only
one has more than a 250W PS and only one has DDRAM and they are all
overclocked.
