How does 64mb of shared memory (384mb total) compare to say 8 or 16mb
of dedicated video for watching DVDs, office apps, and simple gaming (ie. Delta Force, Need for Speed -- I'm not a hard-core gamer who wants max/perfect 3D gaming or anything) I know that the dedicated is much more highly recommended, but for most applications, is the shared okay for a newbie laptop owner. This would basically just be a mobile unit since i can do my power stuff on my desktop. Thanks. |

A shared memory video card should be fine. However, generally speaking, some shared memory video cards don't have good Direct3D... so a lot of games won't run (even the most basic games...) -- Lucas Tam () Please delete "REMOVE" from the e-mail address when replying. http://members.ebay.com/aboutme/coolspot18/ |
