I'm thinking of buying an HP Pavilion ze-4300.
If anyone has had any experience with this laptop or any HP Pavilion, I'd welcome any comments. |

One reason I'm getting it is that it has the so-called Pentium M processor,
or some equivalent thereof. This is supposed to run cooler. It was a little hard to find. Not even Sonys in the same price range seemed to have it. Are the AMD processors truly the AMD XP-M (mobile version) of AMD's XP processor?

I bought the 5375 at Circuit City with 250$ rebate and am very happy. I had
to return one first though due to poor keyboard (occasional missed keystrokes - which we couldn't solve). New one works like a charm. I've had no further problems. It's quite fast. Your's may not come with MS office, but perhaps you can get a copy. Maybe Students and Teachers version which is often on sale for $129 - of you need it. I think you can do comparison shopping till eternity - but it may not be worth it. Just get something in your price range and try to be happy with your decision. Unless you are into high end gaming there are probably a number of laptops out there you'll be happy with. Read reviews at CNET.com and Amazon.com especially user/consumer reviews. It's like buying a digital camera - you can drive yourself crazy shopping - and some may like that - but eventually just get something and enjoy it. Good luck!
