It might be that the core voltage was set to high or that the chip is plain bust and was never going to work. I'd be interested to hear if anyone knows which jumpers on the PCi II board set the voltages... In the mean time I have my 733 running at 1090mhz due to setting the FSB to 100Mhz in the bios.
