Hi,

I just got an Ultra-2 Enterprise server with all the accessories, really
cheap, and plan to put it into the crawl space in my basement.

I can access the server from another SparcStation or a PC to do work.
The question is, how can I remotely reboot the server if I need to?

I'm sure this is a naive question, but I'm pretty new to this world.

thanks a lot for reading my question.

Make sure there's enough ventilation.

telnet to it, su and then type "init 6". Also, attach a null modem
cable to serial port A and hook that up to COM 1 on your PC or
attach to the serial port on your SparcStation. That will give
you console access. The serial settings are 9600/8/N/1.
