can i replace a drive in an external firewire box (freecom)?

can i replace a drive in an external firewire box (frrecom)?


hi there all
I have an external cdrw from freecom (firewire). I would like to
replace the drive inside with a dvd writer or perhaps a HD. Is it
possible? would winXP recognise the drive or is it dependent on some
bios in the box?
