Hi,
I'm having problems booting from SATA raid-0 (stripe) array. Hardware: EP-4PCA3+ board 512 MB RAM (PC3200 dual channel) P4 3.06 800MHz fsb 2x Western Digital Raptor 36.7 GB SATA drives I can setup a small MS-DOS partition on this array, and then it boots as C: Installing Win-XP on a 2nd partition works, although I have to ENTER a few times during boot-up Booting XP from a single partition doesn't work.. - Right now, I installed an extra harddisk (master on the primary IDE) - Installed Win-XP on the sata raid-array - The installation needs a partition on the extra harddisk. - It works, sata raid array becomes C:, extra harddisk becomes D:, but the system basically boots from that extra harddisk.. (I upgraded to the latest BIOS version) Was anybody here able to install Win-XP just using a single partition on a sata raid-0 array? Thanks for any advice! |
