8K7A+ with XP2400+

8K7A+, rev.1.1
XP2400+ (266fsb) retail
Current Bios = 8k7a2304

Is there a bios, beta or otherwise which will allow my board to recognize
this cpu? I'm getting 2.0 ghz but it shows up as unknown cpu type.

If it works correctly, and you are actually getting 2 ghz, the "unknown CPU
type" is purely a cosmetic problem. Don't worry about it.

Yea I know. I wasn't really worried about it Just wondered is all. No big
deal to install a different bios.

Yes there is a beta BIOS, not sure of the number. I got mine from the
Netherlands EPOX site. BIOS number might be 8k7a2923 or 8k7a3214, I can not
remember.... I am pretty sure I am running the 3214.

I have a 8K7a ver 1.1 with the same processor..... recognises mine.

hm i got that beta version too, my cpu is not recognised though...
btw: where can I see what version of the 8k7a I got?

I have rev 1.1 too. However, it's still not recognised...
