Hi All,
Only a quick question regarding the supposed 'keyboard power on' feature of the above 8kta3 pro board. I've enabled the correct JP2 jumper to the 2-3 position, but still can't get the system to wake from a soft power off using the keyboard. Anyone else ever got this working? Cheers! Hi Sam On the 8RDA+, the BIOS has an entry for Power On Function which has to be set to Hot Key, then the other entry for Hot Key Power On defaults to Ctrl+F1. Use the normal Start menu Shut down and when it has all finished, (the kbd Num Lck light may still be on as a reminder), press the Hotkey to start. On my mbd, it won't work if any other shut down method has been used, e.g. the front power switch button. The manual mentions it thus: Step 1 Please check JP4 at the position 2-3 after you finished the system installation. Step 2 You can enjoy the keyboard power on function (KBPO) by pressing and key and BUTTON only to turn on your system. Your system will be turned on automatically, after releasing the keys. Has anyone on this newsgroup got it working on the same board as me? Sam W. |

Hey Sam.
I got a 8kta3+ board, nearly the same as 8kta3pro. The problem depends on the keyboard itself. I have an older wired keyboard, and when i use this, the keyboard power on function works, but when I use my wireless logitech keyboard, it doesn't work. I haven't found anyone, who could give me an explannation yet. BTW, there is a option in the bios, where you should enable keyboard power on. Just had to enable keyboard power on in the bios, it was under power management. Sam |
