Hi,

what does the 8RDA3+ offer over the 8RDA+ apart from SATA Raid?. I know
that the 8RDA3+ s made using the newer NForce ULTRA 400 but I thought that
the 8RDA+ could run 400Mhz FSB also?

8RDA3+ (£95.76 UK)
8RDA+ (£79.78 UK)

thanks,

Wayne ][

8RDA3+ support 1394 ports. It supports memory better : my Kingston 512M 2700
memory runs okay in 8RDA3+, but heard others had problem with 8RDA+.

8RDA+ has built-in firewire.

Hi,

so . . .there is little difference then? (apart from SATA Raid), I guess the
Nforce ULTRA 400 should be a better overclocker? but I only heard good
things about the 8RDA+ and its high overclocking ability. . .

I'm pretty sure that current production of both uses the same chipset
since
my 8RDA+ has a '400MHz' logo blazed on one corner.

USB 2.0 on some ports too.

I thought the 8RDA3+ had the rather pathetic sound support, whereas the
8RDA+ has the 'soundstorm quality' (albeit without the optical outputs)
nForce2 variant .. or did that change at some point?

The 8RDA3+ is sold as a 400MHz board, the 8RDA+ is sold as a 333MHz board.

My 8RDA+ came with a '400MHz FSB' sticker on it when purchased from
Komplett
in the middle of June this year.

Yep and when I boot up my 8RDA+ it says Ultra 400 Support. Wonder why I
can't get it past 360mhz?
