Silence!
Unheard of :-) Same question regarding the K6-2+/533 as well. TIA. Yeah, they should, pretty much, except that they do have a reputation for not liking 100MHz FSB at any clock ratio. I've tried myself unsuccessfully but you might get lucky. Who knows? > >Same question regarding the K6-2+/533 as well. My 2+/533 goes fine at 6x95=570MHz, 2.1Vcore, W95b/NT4, on my 503+. (Using a 2+/550 at the moment. It isn't really happy at 600MHz. Suppose I'll have to up the voltage a bit more ....) -- Roger Hunt |

Well, the 95MHz FSB K6 CPUs are that way for a reason, which was that they
did not pass testing as 100MHz FSB parts, so they got reclassified as 95MHz FSB CPUs so they could be sold. They may or may not operate reliably at 100MHz FSB, but it's worth a shot. I have 1 100mhz fsb rated k6+ cpu that will only work at 95 MHz (due
to a bit of overheating in my laptop, hehe). I almost tossed it in the trash thinking it was dead at any multiplier setting, then on a lark I tried 95mhz, and it will run at 6x with 95 MHz (570 MHz speed). The onboard cache apparently is the "weak" spot of these chips, and the 95 MHz rating was, as someone else noted, applied for a valid reason. Perhaps the chip that is for sale can run at 6x, or maybe not, only way to find out is to take my k6speed program with you and give it a test run b4 you buy it, hehe. -- Best regards, Kyle tired of spam, no email address "?uzzled" <> wrote in message news:beskce$8ph$... | I don't see why not.
