I would just presume that the temperature is 10c degrees lower until
MSI updates the BIOS (which won't probably happen). Nothing to worry
about..........

one funny thing the readings r too high - ok
but the firmware readings are even higher !! ( +4 C)
maybe it was supposed to offset the false readings
but works the opposite way ????

i found some info that ami bios 1.9 for that mobo was released ....
date 04/18/2003 ???? it has the same date as 1.4 for kt4v ultra
im wondering if they r the same ???
msi website says nothing about 1.9
and 1.4 for ultra - has "cpu temperature detection modification " (!!!)
add on so .............
maybe it could work

by the way msi admits ( undirectly )that temp readings r wrong

Bios 1.9 (Dated 04.08.2003) for KT4V used by AMD to recommend (-
http://www2.amd.com/us-en/recmobo/De...l?queryID=2132
-) the KT4V motherboard seems to be (as of now) exclusive to AMD and
not available to the paying customers. And as one of the mods at
MSI's local forums kindly put it....

"Hi,

BIOS 1.9 is still in Beta stage.
AMD get's it way before release to test with new CPU's.
Don't worry, it will be released when it ready to be released."

http://www.msi.com.tw/program/e_serv...54d65ac7fcca17

In other words, as long as we get AMD's stamp of aproval, screw the
paying customers!
