8352A reading unfinalized CD'd?

The drive is recognized, and plays and burns well. My problem is that I
cannot read unfinalized mini cdrw's that are made by my Sony Mavica camera.
Adaptec and/or Roxio 5 with the updates for WinXP did this fine, until I
upgraded to this MSI 52x cdrw drive. I tried reinstalling the software, and
Nero as well. Both read and burn fine, but see the disks as blank, or not at
all. DMA is chosen in the XP dialogue box. I cannot take the time to
finalize the disks everytime I need to view the pix. Can you direct me to
the right direction for a fix? Thanks!
