Hi, just ordered a SN41G2 refurb from new egg for $228, and i was
wondering if anybody else had bought a refurb model from newegg, and if so did it come as retail box ? I've bought a number of things from newegg refurb, and most have come as retail box, but the last 2 items i bought (asus m/b and ati aiw) came as white boxes with boards only, no accessories. |

For the most part they are complete but I've received a couple of mb that were missing backplates. Most of the refurb video cards I've bought have been in static wrap. They are upfront about it with their disclaimers but it is a bit odd. |

I had ordered a 1.2ghz T-bird and they sent me a 1.0 instead which was quite a bit cheaper at the time. After I complained about it with no result, I found myself arguing with a debt collection agency in Florida. Newegg sent my account to them as non paying for collection. It took me 2 years to get that straightened out and I never even stopped payment in the first place. It was all done via Mastercard so I can only assume that someone at Newegg did this because of my complaint. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- "There would be a lot more civility in this world if people didn't take that as an invitation to walk all over you" - (Calvin and Hobbes) email: egk-nospam-@hotmail.com |
