SB51G with PC2700 memory

Hi,
My BIOS display this information DDR266. But i put 512Mo of PC2700, nomaly
this will display DDR333.
Have you an idea about this.

If that's what you have the front side bus speed set to or if that's as high
as the motherboard supports, that's what it will say. I'm not familiar with
your motherboard but I have an AK32L and just put a stick of PC2700 in it.
Since the board only goes up to pc2100 and the fsb is set to 266 for my
XP2000+ processor, that's what it shows the memory as.
The memory is backward compatible to run at the slower speed.

If you are trying to use a slower 100 fsb processor it will not use ram
speed above 266 timings.. i had to get a newer 133 fsb processor..
100 fsb chips will only clock upto 133 which means everything inc ram is
well overclocked , this is why it uses the 266 timings..
