I have just built myself a new Shuttle PC based on the SS40G barebones kit.
It uses the Shuttle FS40 mobo. My mice (I have tried two) are not found when installing Windows 98SE or SuSE Linux 8.2. I have tested the mice on another dual boot system and they are working fine. Am I correct in assuming this is a likely mobo fault, or have I missed something somewhere in the BIOS settings or general configuration? -- Nick Entwistle (Cheshire, UK) Remove 'x' from email address |

I don't know of any where you can disable the PS2 port. -- ________________________ Conor Turton ICQ:31909763 ________________________ |

Most BIOSs support mice. So, if it does not work there then it is probably a problem with the mobo. To Check whether it is the installation (something shorting), take the mobo out of the case, reconnect as few components as possible and try again. I had plugged the CD-ROM audio connector to the wireless mouse connector on the mobo in error. Connection corrected and everything works fine. -- Nick Entwistle (Cheshire, UK) Remove 'x' from email address |
