This is just an "in general" topic question;
Other than removing the jumper on the board to bump up the FSB to 266, does anybody have any suggestions or "discoveries" on how to increase performance on the AK39N board? I got a stick of 512/333MHz ram, but I'm not using the full clockspeed because the FSB only goes up to 266 on the board. All & any thoughts welcome! |

Does the ak39n recognize the memory as DDR333 on boot? If it's not, you may
want to remove the existing memory, and try it by itself. If it still doesn't say DDR333 it's not PC2700 memory. http://www.shuttle.com/new/product/spec/AK39N%20DM.pdf -- ******************************************* "ranchhand" <> wrote in message news: om... > This is just an "in general" topic question; > > Other than removing the jumper on the board to bump up the FSB to 266, > does anybody have any suggestions or "discoveries" on how to increase > performance on the AK39N board? Thanx, Tom, I'll check it out. So the only thing this update does is
help a AGP8X problem? |

I think so. Although I still don't have an AGP 8X option. I dhave a 4X card,
and assume that it will only show when an 8X card is installed. TomG "ranchhand" <> wrote in message news: om... > Thanx, Tom, I'll check it out. So the only thing this update does is > help a AGP8X problem? |
