Just a quick note to say that FS019 Bios release for the SN41G2 is now
available from the Shuttle website. I have successfully used WinFlash on both Rev 1.4 and 2.0 boards to install this upgrade without any problems. The DRAM auto-precharge function has been added since 018. ftp://ftp.shuttle.com/BIOS/fn41/ Regards.. Dom |

Like SDRAM Trp Timing Value, the DRAM Precharge feature controls the memory
bank's precharge time (tRP). This constitutes the time it takes for the Precharge command to complete and the row to be available for activation. Hence the name DRAM PreChrg to Act CMD which is short for DRAM Precharge Command to Activate Command. Unfortunately on the SN41G2 there is no ability to change the timings as for optimal performance, you would use the lowest value you can (2T in most cases). But if you start getting memory errors or system crashes, increase the value. Hope this helps.... Dom "Arto V" <> wrote in message news:bf9fcq$25v6$... > What that DRAM auto-precharge does? > > |
