Hi everyone,
I've been looking through multiple threads and peoples postings on the similar problem, but non of them have solved my problem. I have an AMD XP 2600 333fsb with my Soyo Dragon kt333 plus. I have read that the cpu is not compatible with my mobo, but I have read amongst others that is works fine. Currently it is clocked at 1.04ghz with bios settings running at 166mhz PCI divider /5, and multiplier set to auto. When I first made these changes it worked fine, and was clocked at 2.08 ghz, but soon after a couple reboots it reverted to 1.04 ghz. I've been trying to get it back up to speed, but have failed. I reset cmos, and it worked after I booted up, I check my computer properties and it said 2.08 ghz, but then I went to go play a game and it seemed slow, when I came out the computer properties read 1.04ghz. What a confusing one this is. It almost seems like the speed is fluctuating, but that doesn't make any sense. Thank you for reading this, and taking your time to help me! I appreciate it VERY much! – Kory |
