I am looking to purchase the Soyo KT400 Dragon Ultra board. I plan on
putting in an Athlon XP 2400+ CPU in there with 512 MB PC2100 (266) DDR RAM. Since the max FSB of the 2400+ CPU is 266, this would be acceptable, correct? Would there be any advantage to putting in PC3200 (400) DDR sticks in with the 266 FSB CPU? Or can I wait until I upgrade the CPU to one with a FSB of 333 or 400 mhz? TIA, -Tom |

I have had the best performance running the busses syncroniously, ie
166mz. Yes the KT 400 DUP is pickey about its ram. Currently I am running the voltage at 2.7 as per the mfg'r. (2 sticks Corsair) The voltage will affect the passing or failing of a RAM test. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Dave |
