Watch Dog feature

I have a few P4SDA+'s in service. They work beautifully and the price
was great. Only problem is I'm having trouble getting information
regarding the watch dog function. The manual says you need to use the
jumper and enable it in the BIOS. I do not see a Watchdog enable
feature in the 1.0a or 1.0b BIOS setup (with the jumper enabled). I
am also unsure what it does. Does it monitor and protect the CPU?
