How good is the add/remove programs in XP? In Win98 I had always used Norton
Cleansweep to monitor and log installations automatically, and it was handy to remove programs. However, with my 8300, Cleansweep cannot be used for such, since it says it can't work with "dual processor machines", i.e., hyperthreading I presume. You can still do some manual logging with Cleansweep, but it is no longer the full-featured program I like. Is there any other highly recommended uninstaller program that logs all the changes and can uninstall, or is the add/remove programs in XP sufficient? Thanks. RD |

It won't do much good for programs that were installed before. You would just need a good registry cleaner such as JV Power Tools and search the registry for entries to try and completely uninstall. Get A.S.Suite here:[regular link too long] http://tinyurl.com/cikr ....Allen |
