You didn't mention which bios version you are using with the board but try
the 9M bios with the 4, 04, 0D settings as Tom G suggested and see what
happens then.

My KG7 as well as many others have had issues with the newer bioses.

Default (Bob) Re: Random Lock Up

Bob - I know for sure Willie is using "CT" Bios, but I'm also sure that the
lockups were happening to him with the previous 9M Bios too. Of course,
NONE of the tweaks had been applied while he was running that Bios version
either. Anyway, Willie is working through the changes TomG suggested (mem
voltage, slew rate) and we shall see what happens. I'm sure Willie will
report back to the group on what has happened and/or what is going on. I
did talk with him this morning and so far after setting the mem volts up one
notch from the default the system has been running for a day and hasn't
locked yet. Maybe things are finally looking up after all this time and
frustration.

Thanks... Gunner

Default Re: (Bob) Re: Random Lock Up

You are right, I realized later that I should have included in my post which
bios version I am running. Sorry about that.
I see my friend Gunner has responded to your post and correctly filled you
in on that so I will not repeat what he has already posted.
I want to thank you for the suggestion and may try it later after trying the
steps suggested by Tom G. while still running the "CT" bios.
As of now my computer has been running for more than 24 hours non-stop after
changing the DR voltage to 2.70 with no lock-ups.
The jury is still out as to how long it will run without a lock-up, I need
it to run for several days before I am convinced the problem has been
solved. In the meantime I still have more questions that I will direct
toward Tom G to clarify his suggestions, and will make another post as soon
as I finish this one.
I find it difficult to adequately express my sincere thanks for your input
as well as all others who have taken their valuable time to respond to my
posts. For the first time in months I feel as though I am on the right track
towards getting this nagging problem solved.
