I want to replace the cpu on my IBM system board (FRU 49P4384) with a
Pentium 4, but I don't know what type I need. All I know is that I need a socket 478. But how fast a processor would be possible to put in? And what about the size of the cache, etc? I know I also need a specific kind of psu, but I think I've got that one covered. )-Eeva |

Check it out here;
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview...psg1MIGR-39325 Apparently 1.5 to 2.0 Willamette or 2.0 and 2.2 Northwoods are okay.
