tablet xp running very slow

i have a gateway tablet pc it works fine when i boot the pc, but after
working for a while i starts geting slow and slow until i have to boot back
againg, i have all patches and the antivirus updates every day, i have
antispyware running and simple i cant find any wrong with this tablet.
i check the task manager and the process are fine

You said all the patches are installed, but did you install the "memory
leak" update:

You might also check for malware/spyware or other infestations by using the
information here: http://www.aumha.org/secure.htm A computer which starts
slowing down is a common complaint from people who find multiple
infestations "using" their machine without their knowledge. I would
recommend not only running your anti virus with the latest definitions on a
thorough check of the Tablet, but use several of the free tools available on
the latter URL above to clean up the system. The URL above also has a fine

Okay, personally having antispyware software running and antivirus software
running, will slow down your computer, I know everyone says no it won't, but
it does most people just don't care. You may want to look at getting more
memory for your gateway. (I have an M275 myself.) Don't buy directly from
gateway, they'll over charge you... goto newegg.com or somthing.
And if you've had it for nearly a year or so, it may be just time to format
and reinstall (I recommend and do it myself at least once a year.) Of course
backing up anything you need.

I'd love to hear what happens and where your situation stands.

I purchased a tablet pc with 512ram and in 1 month it was running very slow.
I purchased online additional 1 gig of ram and the system is now very fast.
Best decision i made.
