You said all the patches are installed, but did you install the "memory
leak" update:

You might also check for malware/spyware or other infestations by using the
information here:

slowing down is a common complaint from people who find multiple
infestations "using" their machine without their knowledge. I would
recommend not only running your anti virus with the latest definitions on a
thorough check of the Tablet, but use several of the free tools available on
the latter URL above to clean up the system. The URL above also has a fine
