It is true.
They cannot charge the old card because that one was deleted by the card
company. As Globat does not have the new card number, they cannot charge that.

Actually it is a case of large-scale theft: a large number of small sums, which
give a big total.
Out of the blue Globat deducts sums of about 50 US-Dollars from the credit card
accounts with their "automatic upgrades". ALSO (!) this "automatic upgrade"
means that instead of charging about 50 US-Dollar per year, they suddenly charge
the tri-fold sum from the credit-card. And THIS despite the fact, that Globat
already owes money to the customer...!
Confronted with the facts Globat refuses to answer.
I can only warn all customers of Globat to do as I say. Or they will lose money.
I wrote emails to the former owner of Globat, during whose time the first part
of the fraud was done. He did not reply. No wonder, as it is him, who is
responsible for the first part. And I guess that he did not tell the new owners,
what was going on. The new owners are no better that him, see part two...
