Tapeware problem! Please Help!

Dear all:

I am using a HP Surestor Dat 40 tapebackup system. It comes with Tapeware
6.3sp1b on an Adaptec 2940 SCSI card.

I have a huge problem using it. It always backups (full) correctly, but it
never restores the full tape. Whenever I attempt a full restore, the system
ejects the tape and asks me for another media. But I only did a full backup
to ONE media!!! I checked all the options, and they all look OK (full,
overwrite all, etc.).

What did I do wrong? Am I missing something?
