14v 3a adaptor powering a 12v 3.5a monitor...is it safe?

Hi Guys, I have a14v 3a adaptor powering an old LG 12v 3.5 monitor (L1980Q), i know this isnt ideal, but really want to know am I likely going to blow the monitor? If anyone could advise me asap that would be much appreciated. thanks.
