    Hi!
I've been given an AMD Barton and I dont know if it works...
First of all - how to check the processor without damaging my mainboard?
It wasnt burnt, all pins are good... is there other possibillity for
    processor not to work?

There are more than a few ways for a CPU to go bad with no visible
damage. As far as I am aware, I've never damaged a motherboard by
    instering a bad CPU.
