Best bang for buck 939 suggestions?

Getting AN8-SLI premium, not into games, but will have Highpoint PCI-e (4x) RAID as music server, and concurrently surf, run excel, etc. Considering FX-55, Opteron 165, and maybe X2 3800, which seem to run around 0. Alternately, might just go on ebay and pick up a used 64 3700-3800 for ½ this amount. Only have ½ meg Patriot BLK ram at the moment. Comments or suggestions?
