I'm in need of a Dimension 3000 fan shroud, someone trod on the old one and
broke it! Is the shroud for the 3000 common to other dimension pc's
    please?

    Bruce.

sam fan and shroud were used in at least the dimension b110, 1100, 2400,
3000, 4600, and 4700. a quick look on ebay yields that you can get the
shroud with fan for $8.99 delivered if you search for "dimension 4700 fan".

    The 4700 shroud is different than the 2350, 2400, 3000, 4600, B110,
1100 shrouds. When Dell wen to the LGA 775 CPUs, there was need to
change the physical design of the plastic shroud and the overall
design of the fan... Ben Myers
