Gateway processor in non-Gateway motherboard

    Will a Gateway Thunderbird processor work in a non-Gateway motherboard
    (assuming the motherboard supports said chip)?

    Assuming you mean AMD Athlon thunderbird, since Gateway doesn't make
    CPU's. Yes, any socket A (462) board should work.
