Hi, I've just bought a 2GB PC 2700 DDR 333 CL2 184-pin DIMM PC2700 Memory to fit into my Asus A7V8X-X m'board but it will not run.

The manual says it takes- DDR DIMM Sockets, PC2100/1600 non-ECC DDR SDRAM

The pc will not even boot. I'm sure it is fully fitted into the slot

Can you give me any advice please?
