MS-DOS Driver for ESS Maestro 2E

Discussion in 'Soundcards' started by Henrik Sass Krag, Feb 16, 2005.

  1. Hi Group,

I have a Compaq Armada m700 laptop equiped with ESS Maestro 2E Sound
with chip ES1978. I've been unable to find a driver for MS DOS-6.22 for
it and I'd really like to play my old games. I've read, that the
soundcard is Soundblaster Compatible. I've tried Soundblaster 16 and
Soundblaster Pro drivers, but they don't recognize the card. Does Anyone
know how to get sound in DOS? Hope someone can help me out )
