Power-on problem with GA-8INXP

    Hi, need help with odd power problem.

    My trusty GA-8INXP system is becoming difficult to power up.

    When I hit the "soft power" button on the case front it only works 1 time out of 10, The other times, the power briefly comes on (enough to light the leds and spin the fans for 0.5 sec) and then goes off.

    Any thoughts?

    I swear mine was doing the same thing... I thought the PSU was dead. Then I removed the video card and it powered up just fine -fans and all- but beeped at me because there was no video output. Try removing all your expansion cards, including video and see if it powers up. Yours should also beep at you. If this fixes the problem, your video card may be bad.

    If you get no beeps at all, u may have a bad mobo. I ended up having to replace my 6600GT :( I hope they make good on the warranty.
