    Hi

I have a Dell Vostro 1000 running Windows XP. XP support is coming to an end so I'm thinking of migrating to Windows 7 but I think I should probably upgrade the processor and memory first.

My current processor is a Mobile AMD Sempron 3600+ with 1.87 GB RAM.

1)Can I upgrade this with AMD Turion x2 TL-60 and 4GB of RAM? Is this the best processor to choose?

2)Will I need to upgrade the BIOS and should I do this before or after installing the new processor and memory?

I realise I will probably have to upgrade drivers etc when I finally switch to Windows 7.

    Thanks in anticipation.
