XPS 8300 Support Six Core I7?

    Is there any version of the XPS 8300 that will support the high end six-core
    versions of the i7 processor?

    afaik the best you can have in the xps 8300 is the i7-2600 quad core.
    keep an eye out for bios updates as that would likely include support
    for additional processors.

    Does the i7-2600 support the Quickpath interface for fast access to memory
    on dedicated bus?

    if you really want a high performance machine then dell is not the answer.
