Hello,

A friend who's running OS X Tiger on a graphite iMac has downloaded some
file and folder icons, but the ReadMe files don't give instructions. I
know how to apply icons in OS 9, but not in X, so I'd like to know if
anyone can help with this. I'll pass along the information, and save it
for myself for the time when I, too, run Tiger on my G4.

Thanks and happy holidays,
Eric

Hi Eric,

First you need to select your downloaded icon, then do a "Get Info"
(CMD+I). On the top right hand corner of your Info dialog box, click
on the icon, it should now be selected, then copy it (CMD+C).

Now "Get Info" the file or the folder that you'd like to change the
icon, then click on the icon so that it's selected, finally paste your
copied icon (CMD+V). Your new icon should now be changed.

Just like in OS 9. OK. I'll forward the information.

Thanks,
Eric
