Unable to enter BIOS on IBM ThinkPad T22

I'm having some serious problem entering the BIOS on my ThinkPad t22 P3
900MHz, 512 MB machine.
Whenever I'm trying to bring 'ON' the machine and accessing either
F1(to enter BIOS setting) or F12 (to select temporary boot device), the
machine won't go into BIOS and would report 'No Hard-Drive installed,
re-install hard drive' followed by error messages 'IRQ: PCM Card bus
not found' and then it would simply hang or idle. I've also tried with
a brand-new and working hard-drive but it doesn't help. Please assist.
