Any suggestions for good and inexpensive UPS units? I don't really need a
lot from it - just something that'll give me long enough to finishe what I'm
doing and shut the computer down.

Go pick one up at your local Radio Shack, Office Depot, Best Buy, or
Circuit City. It should work for your purposes.

Has anybody seen this one and what do people think of it?

I don't know what the power factor might be, but a 350VA
UPS might not supply the watts your computer needs. For any
relatively recent computer, I think you'd need 650VA at the
very least.

Mine has a dual power supply. But all a power hungry PC will do is to
exhaust the battery faster. If I have a power failure that lasts more than
10 seconds, I'll be shutting down and powering off anyway.
