USB Cable for networking?

Hi, www.cyberguys.com, and I believe, "tiger.com both sell a 6' USB
1.1 cable to connect two computers together. It sounds ideal for my
particular case. I built two computers and I loaded different hardware
and software on each. I should like to access one or the other,
without haveing to do the old cable shuffle bit.

Any have experience or know of the USB network cable??

Seeing as this cable costs 30 dollars and that, In my terms is alot
for a simple cable. I think that a simple RJ45 (LAN) cable could be
the right thing for you seeing as most OS's have built in LAN systems
and all you need is one. LAN cards (PCI) cost around 5$ so comparing 2
5$ cards and a decent cable you get around 15 $ thefore saving money.
And as an added bonus you can use 100mbps ethernet and thefore surpass
the usb 1.1 specification. thereby getting much more bang for much
less buck. And it really dosen't matter weather you have diffrent
hardware or OS's because 98SE will detect XP. And all the computers in
my house are completley diffrent hardware. As for the diffrent
software, I have completly diffrent software and it still works fine.
Though are you going to share your internet as well? If so and you
have ADSL T1 or cable you gotta get a router and they are hard to get
working. If it just is acess between two computers both will work fine
though the RJ45 solution will work faster.
As for the USB thing I have a diffrent hub like thing, its more
like a USB hub with printer ports and ethernet and they had an
included cable for another computer and it seemed that they addmited
that there transfer rates sucked and thye had all this special
software and crap so I just used the ethernet part of it.
