USB File Sharing Cable

Hi, I know it wouldn't hurt to try, (or would it?),

I have two PC's, both with WIN XP Home. Would I damage anything if I
hooked them up to my USB File Sharing Cable? They worked fine when
both were on WIN 98SE, but I can't find the docs on it to know if
Xp would work.

In my mind, it would most certainly work.
