USB over current detected

The last thing I did while my computer was running fine was check if my NIC was in its slot. The computer was on and I wiggled it a little. I shut down, inserted the NIC card and rebooted. The next thing that appears is the "USB over current detected shutdown in 15 seconds".

I tried clearing the BIOS by removing the CMOS, also by using the CLR jumpers.

I'm at a loss and am wondering if I am going to be buying a new mobo?

Hopefully someone will have a suggestion.
