Right now running P4 2.8
Asus P4C800 E deluxe mobo
1 Gig PC3200 Ram
ATI 9600xt 128
19" Sony x-brite flatscreen
Guess what I'm wondering is if I went with a ATI 800xl or xt would there be
a log jam at the processor? Really don't want to upgrade processor and mobo
if it can run most games for the next year. Also if anybody did make this
jump how did your game performance jump?

Is this the Northwood or the Prescott 2.8? What powersupply do you have? If
you're running with low temperatures now, you can always overclock your
processor a bit to make up for some speed.

That said, your processor is already quick enough to justify a XL or XT...
