My understanding of AOL's Instant Messenger video conferencing is that
it requires
Windows XP
with a patch from AOL
Plus AIM v5.5

In order to connect to a Mac you need to be running Mac OS X 10.3.* and
the "iChat AV 2.1 Beta" software
http://www.apple.com/ichat
The AOL Instant Messenging web site has an FAQ on setting up video
conferencing on Windows systems.
